The z/OS Concepts course describes the evolution of mainframe enterprise computing and provides descriptions of the major components that comprise today’s z/OS environment.
Operations, programming, and technical support personnel requiring basic knowledge about processing in a z/OS environment.
Knowledge of general data center processing objectives would be beneficial.
After completing this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of an operating system
- Identify the names and functions of commonly installed z/OS system components
- Describe the compile and bind process used to create an executable program
